Every year we organize one or more Painting Holidays in the department of La Manche (Normandy) for a small group of up to 11 people.  The residence is at the Chateau Le Mont Epinguet near Brix. The Chateau is very strategically located for the beautiful small harbors, beaches and castles. This part of Normandy offers many beautiful painting locations, both on the coast and inland. Think of Barfleur, Omonville, Portbail, Saint-Vast and Bricquebec.The surrounding landscape is small-scale and hilly. There are many castles with beautiful adjacent gardens. The coast is breathtakingly beautiful with sandy beaches and picturesque harbors, but there are also rocky coasts and even a drying tidal landscape. The legendary landing beaches are not far from here and Cherbourg is home to a big city.

Our offer is an almost all-inclusive painting holiday with a painting workshop every day and a joint exhibition at the end of the week. We are familiar with the area and will take you to the beautiful places. The Chateau also offers many scenic spots. The painting holiday is suitable for both novice and advanced painters. Accompanying, holiday partners are of course also welcome.

Be inspired by the French landscape.

Every morning there is a painting workshop. This starts immediately after breakfast at approximately 9:00 am. We bring you to a beautiful location and work en plein air or choose a spot on or near the Chateau. The choice of location strongly depends on the weather. You choose your own subject at the location and use your own preferred material. This can be anything: acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolor, chalk, etc. We assume that you have your own material with you. If not, we can take care of it. During the morning you will be guided by experienced teacher / visual artist Laurens Boersma. The starting point is always the experience and skills of the individual participant and will differ per participant. Throughout the week, this approach increases the skills of each participant. The guidance concerns both technical and visual aspects. The workshop lasts until lunch around 1:00 pm, usually at the location of painting. The afternoon can be filled in freely. After dinner in the evening which is about 7:00  there is a joint work meeting. It is a holiday so you can participate where and when you want. On the last day there is a festive exhibition in "The Cathedral", one of the buildings at the Chateau.
